Focusing on its relation to ILRI, he mentions that the Mega Program “will help ILRI to work in ways which we have been trying to work for years and not fully achieved.” It will take all of the current ILRI Themes and integrate them in a coherent program, organized around specific value chains. An essential element in the design is partnerships and communication. “The way the program is designed, if we try to do it on our own, we will not succeed!” He was speaking in the margins of the CGIAR Livestock Fish Mega Program stakeholder consultation meeting in Addis Ababa, 24 and 25 August 2010. |
